Gateway debuts its netbook called the LT3100 with high-definition 11.6-inch display which offers higher productivity with its AMD Athlon 64 L110 single-core processor, ATI Radeon X1270 graphics and wireless connection.


This processor and graphics take care of productivity and usability while the reliable WiFi 802.11b/g connectivity ensures quick access to the Internet. Therefore, users can enjoy online entertainment, conduct research, communicate, and stay updated and connected through emails and social networking sites.

The Gateway portable netbook sports an 11.6-inch ultrabright high-definition widescreen display that offers an advanced screen. As a result, users can view multiple websites and applications on the screen without the need for extensive horizontal and vertical scrolling. In addition to this, users can also view clear and crisp images on the large screen, thanks to the LED backlight display, 16:9 ratios and WXGA resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The large display leaves ample of space for full-size keyboard, thereby facilitating easy typing.

LT3100 is highly portable as it is only an inch thick and weighs mere 3.14 pounds. Users can easily store their digital media files as the netbook incorporates 2GB of DDR2 memory and internal SATA 5400RPM hard drive with maximum capacity of 250GB.

The built-in webcam facilitates face-to-face video conferencing, capturing smooth videos and recording video emails. This webcam is said to capture high quality images even in low light areas. Moreover, the digital integrated microphone helps minimize echoes and background noise, thereby ensuring high-quality videos. Users can employ Dolby headphones and two integrated speakers to listen to the audio.

The LT3100 also sports an intuitive multi-gesture touchpad. Users can swirl their fingers in circular motion to skim through long list of files, music playlists and web pages. They can employ movements like outward and inward pinching to zoom out/in images. Additionally, one can flip through pictures, PDF documents and web pages by just moving two fingers horizontally.

The glossy chassis is available in NightSky Black and Cherry Red colors which comprise of subtle engraving of Gateway logo along with silver trim. One can also attach peripherals such as printer, display and other consumer electronics to the netbook.

The base netbook model called the LT3103u comes with AMD Athlon 64 single-core processor L110, 11.6-inch WXGA HD LED back-lit display, 2048MB DDR2 SDRAM single channel memory, 6-cell Li-ion battery, three USB 2.0 ports, integrated ATI Radeon X1270 Graphics, 250GB SATA 5400RPM hard drive, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi connectivity, ntegrated web camera, two in-built stereo speakers, multi-in-1 digital media card reader and runs on Microsoft Windows Vista Basic OS.

The Gateway netbook is highly configurable. The base model LT3103u comes with a one year standard warranty at MSRP of $399.99 (approx. Rs.19, 413).
